Your candidate is a true Delawarean, having been a part of this community her entire life. Jacki grew up in Selbyville and now resides in Dagsboro with her husband, Nick. She attended Indian River High School and earned a Criminal Justice Degree at Del Tech Community College. Jacki spent almost 20 years working in the Marketing field, helping other businesses grow, before deciding to start her own online storefront that allows, not just people in Delaware, but all over the U.S., to get services they use every day while being budget-friendly.
She is passionate about Delaware and understands that change is inevitable, but believes it can be done without putting extreme financial burdens on its community.
Jacki knows that time is precious and wants to waste no time diving into the issues that affect our residents in District 41. She wants to champion issues like infrastructure, education, jobs, and the cost of living. Jacki has eyes wide open, specifically when it comes to our children, lower-income, elderly, and farmers. She wants to serve on and possibly create committees not only to help shape the issues that District 41 is experiencing, but to see changes needed come to fruition where it is needed. Sussex County is the second most populated county in Delaware and has the highest percentage of growth for the last decade compared to our other counties, and that brings its own set of issues.
She has key firm stances on growth with fiscal responsibility with wanting renewed focus on much-needed necessities in Sussex County like healthcare, accountability from government to our educational system, affordability, public safety, and all-around personal freedoms.
Jacki wants to be in the fight to influence policy, spending, and accountability, and make sure investments are prioritized for our district in Sussex County. She understands that fixing a broken system is not easy, but doing nothing will get you nowhere. You have to roll up your sleeves, work together, and ask for what your residents want and need. In the past, Jacki has been an outspoken advocate regarding our public school system and parental rights. Advocation holds a special place in Jacki's heart, specifically with children and the elderly.
Jacki is not your career- built politician and probably won't speak like one either. She spent most of her adult life living in the community just like you. Now she is eager to spend another part of her life serving District 41 in Sussex County, the home she loves. She wants open, transparent communication and actions without excuses.
